I am a social worker, an educator and a consultant. I was born in southern Africa, lived in Berlin for years and now call Toronto and Hamilton home.

My background is in social services, mental health, education and other allied sectors. I have over 10 years of experience, with a focus on gender-based violence prevention and response, HIV awareness, popular education, sexuality education and trauma-informed practice. I have a Master’s of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University and am a registered member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Service Workers and Social Workers (OCSSWSW).

My favourite thing about my career is that I get to support different locations of change–I walk with individual people in their healing journeys, and I also support groups, organizations and entire sectors to develop healthier relational practices. I’m very inspired by the work I get to do. I feel grateful to make my living collaboratively dreaming and building our way forward into the kind of world we want.

When I’m not working, you can find me riding my bike, seeing theatre, eating gluten, relaxing in my garden and spending time with my friends and family.
