There is no “one right way” to heal, and so I offer my clients a diverse rangeof tools, support and interventions. What matters is finding the approach that feels right for you.

As a clinician, I am particularly interested in body-based and attachment-focused approaches. My current toolbox includes:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): an evidence-based treatment that helps people heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that result from disturbing life experiences;
  • Somatic Experiencing: a treatment that uses a person’s inner “map” of felt sensation to integrate distress and recreate balance;
  • Attachment-focused approaches: techniques that focus on understanding our relational patterns, making connections between our early experiences and our present-day relationships, and build joyful, resilient connections with other people; and
  • Expressive arts modalities: approaches that use creative tools like drawing, clay modelling, painting, drama and other methods of self expression to facilitate self knowledge and healing.
